Our 400 acres of Northwoods property play a pivotal role in the experiential learning process. Engaged teams bring more passion, purpose, and energy to the work. At Sugar Lake, our facilitators partner with you to build a custom program based on your team’s current strengths and weaknesses. Then, they tailor unique experiences to foster deeper connection among the group. The climbing wall, the outdoor challenge course, the hiking trails, and more build collaboration while your team practices making strategic decisions together. Our facilitators have mastered the ability to customize these activities to maximize their effectiveness based on the team they are working with.

No conference table or screen time. Just a fire, towering pines, and the lake nearby. Our bonfire gathering space offers a place where people relax, ideas flow more freely, and the conversation feels a little more human.

Minnesota is known as the land of 10,000 lakes, but there is only one Siseebakwet (Sugar) Lake. The water is so blue, some call it the Mediterranean of the Midwest. Eight miles of crystal-clear shoreline stretch across 1,500 acres, and you can see straight to the bottom. It is yours to use. Meet on the dock, paddle out for a group challenge, or see if your team can navigate a Hobie Cat sailboat together. Water amenities like these are exclusive to The Leadership Lodge.
