Spanning over 1,000 acres, Sugar Lake offers so much room to get out on the water and have some fun. Whether that means a quiet paddle in a canoe or a kayak, a pontoon ride with family and friends, or a fishing trip that allows for some quality bonding time with someone close to you, there’s plenty to do out on the lake.
As a lakefront lodge, we know that getting out on the lake is integral to any vacation here, that’s why we offer a wide variety of boats and other watersport activities that let you ride, sail, or simply drift along on the beautiful, crystal-clear waters of Sugar Lake. With over 25 feet of visible depth, you’ll want to get out on the lake and experience it yourself.

Get Out on Sugar Lake
Bring Your Own Boat: Our docks are free for all guests leaving you to jump in and go tubing, skiing, or just cruising any time you like. The landing is a half mile down the road, but be sure to get a dock pass—we’ll need to inspect your boat for invasive aquatic species to ensure the continued health of our lake.
Non-Motorized Boats: Have some fun on the lake! Reserve (for free!) a canoe, kayak, stand-up paddle board, or our 14’ Hobie cat sailboat and take it out on the lake.
Pontoon & Fishing Boat Rentals: Take a relaxing ride on the pontoon or cast your line in from a motorized fishing boat. Boat Rental reservations are an added cost and can be made anytime at the front desk.
